We incorporated in 2015, launched sales in 2016 with our first FABTECH trade show in Las Vegas, and started shipping production machines in summer 2017. About the Role:
As our first Product Marketing Manager, you’ll help build the 3D Fab Light brand through inbound, digital, and content marketing strategies. You will be responsible for understanding our target audience and our products, and communicating our value proposition effectively across all kinds of media and conversations. You will collaborate closely with sales, product, and business development teams to spread excitement and awareness about 3D Fab Light and push the business forward. In this role, you will see the impact of your work firsthand and through our company’s growth in the advanced manufacturing industry.

 

This is a full time position located in Oakland, CA. We encourage remote work, but we expect you to be able to spend time with us in person as needed to create marketing collateral. 
 

What You Will Do:

  • Gain insight into our audience’s buyer personas and pain points

  • Create content marketing materials such as case studies, videos, website copy, and blog posts to attract, engage, and delight our audience at every stage of their buyer journey

  • Maintain technical knowledge of our products and our competitive landscape

  • Create digital content that can be used to drive sales and marketing, including sales enablement materials such as slideshows, case studies, and articles

  • When appropriate, assist with sales calls to understand customer pain points and promote the story of our products

  • Use and recommend digital marketing strategies (SEO, paid ads, social, content marketing)

  • Maintain and update our website

  • Propose and run virtual marketing events including webinars and contests

  • Measure and optimize results in our funnel and pipeline based on marketing activities

  • Define and execute marketing qualified lead (MQL) activities for handoff to our sales team

  • Take the lead on maintaining our marketing CRM tools

  • Build internal systems to support your cross-functional work and collaborate with related teams such as Sales and Applications Engineering

 

Who You Are:

  • 2+ years of product marketing experience - or equivalent such as content marketing, inbound marketing, etc

  • You are a storyteller and exceptional communicator across various media: text, graphics, and in-person. You have an eye for design and visual communication.

  • Intimate understanding of the buyer’s journey and an ability to step into the perspective of our audience

  • Strong project management skills and ability to work independently, but also thrive with close, collaborative conversations

  • A healthy balance of “hands-on” skills with strategic long-term thinking including a strong data-driven mindset (KPIs, metrics, etc)

  • Deep knowledge and practical experience with both inbound & outbound marketing activities

  • Digital marketing experience - you are no stranger to SEO, analyzing website traffic, email outreach, drip campaigns, automation, etc

  • Experience with HubSpot CRM or an equivalent CRM software

  • Strong experience with Google Suite including Google Slides, Sheets, etc

  • Interest in working with a small but growing team and taking ownership of your work

  • You are excited about 3D Fab Light, and can share that enthusiasm with our customers

  • Authorized to work in the United States

Sales and Marketing Manager

Oakland, CA (Hybrid)

About the Role:

We are looking for a Sales and Marketing Manager to define and execute the strategic direction for our company in the metal fabrication industry. As a Sales and Marketing Manager, you’ll use your strategic mindset, creativity, technology expertise, and leadership skills daily. In this role, you’ll work cross-functionally with our sales team, engineers, and customers to create compelling content, set high level sales strategy, participate on the ground floor closing sales, build a world class sales and marketing team, and position 3D Fab Light as a leader in the metal fabrication industry.

In your first few months, you will develop a deep understanding of our products, users, and prospects, evaluate current marketing and sales strategies, and - most importantly - learn, grow, and contribute. We trust that you will bring your knowledge to the team, but we don’t expect you to know everything on Day 1. You will have time to develop your product knowledge and get up to speed.

 

This is a full time position partially based in Oakland, CA. We encourage remote work, but we expect you to spend time with us in person to understand our products and work on marketing materials as necessary. Post-COVID, there may be a few travel opportunities each year.

 

What you will do:

  • Work across sales and marketing to understand and set company strategy focusing on market needs, our products and their positioning, and our sales process, with the ultimate goal of enabling sales.

  • Research and develop marketing opportunities and plans, understand consumer requirements, identify market trends, and suggest system improvements to achieve the company's marketing goals.

  • Develop deep understanding of our metal fabrication industry, competitors, and customers through research and conversations; build compelling buyer personas to shape all marketing and sales messaging

  • Create effective marketing collateral (webinars, blogs, case studies) and sales enablement assets (pitch decks, cheat sheets) to support marketing and sales efforts

  • Develop and execute plans for online marketing campaigns, both paid and organic, from strategy to execution. This could include webinars, virtual events, monthly newsletters, features in industry partner websites, and Google Ads.

  • Support marketing objectives including showcasing our product at in-house events and trade shows.

  • Propose and manage annual marketing budget.

  • Act as a business partner to collaborate with the executive and product teams to develop business value messaging, set high level sales goals, and lead our sales team to success.

  • Develop and maintain a strong sales process using your experience and persona-based research, and train our sales team to execute it effectively.

  • Take full ownership of HubSpot CRM including maintaining the contact database, generating reports on funnel and pipeline health, and ensuring all team members are using best practices in the software.

  • Work directly with prospects to identify their needs, propose solutions, and sell our product.

  • Build and lead a world class sales team including mentoring, coaching, and training. Enable connections with other team members, build systems to organize information, and evaluate rep performance.

  • Support and manage our distributor and reseller relationships and evaluate these partnerships regularly.

About You:

  • 5+ years of experience in sales management, inside sales, product marketing, or similar, with a technical B2B or B2C product.

  • Professional degree or MBA preferred.

  • Know how to set goals, plan strategically for the future, and communicate your plan with stakeholders.

  • You are an out of the box thinker and not afraid to explore new avenues or strategies, but can back up your thinking with data-driven insights.

  • Strong computer skills and interest in working with a sophisticated manufacturing product.

  • Customer-centric and passionate about technology.

  • Demonstrated ability leading a team. You are the person that team members look to for mentorship.

  • Deep knowledge and practical experience with both inbound & outbound sales and marketing methodology.

  • Experienced with HubSpot CRM or an equivalent CRM software, and are not afraid of learning new tools. You enjoy taking deep dives into new software and learning on your own.

  • You are a storyteller and strong communicator both in writing and in person.

  • You have an eye for design and visual communication.
