At 3D Fab Light, we see a future where high quality metal laser cutting is accessible and cost-effective for everyone. Over the last three years we have seen an incredible amount of interest in our products. We now have happy customers all across the nation, from small job shops, to primer universities and community colleges, to Fortune 500 companies.


We are seeking an energetic and process-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales team. In this role, you will build relationships with potential clients, shape our sales processes, contribute to marketing efforts, and more. We think this is a great opportunity for the right person to make a big impact in the manufacturing space.


The ideal person for this position has been in a sales role before as an account manager, business development associate, sales manager, or related role, and loves taking on new challenges. Our work environment appeals to self-directed, flexible team players that enjoy learning new skills. We all wear many hats and are passionate about what we do. 


This is a full time position located in Oakland, CA. We are open to remote work, but we do expect you to spend time with us in person to understand our products. Post-COVID, there will be a few travel opportunities each year.




  • Set high level sales goals with executive leadership, and make them happen!

  • Build relationships with clients and customers over the phone, in-person, and over Zoom

  • Maintain technical knowledge of our products and our competitive landscape

  • Train and coach our account managers to achieve success

  • Work closely with our marketing team on our marketing plan

  • Generate reports to track sales and goals

  • Evaluate and analyze sales processes to see if they are having the desired impact

  • Synthesize knowledge and help create content that can be used to drive the sales process forward

  • Setup and run virtual trade shows and informational sessions.

  • Completely own the sales processes from a strategic point of view, including process design, implementation, and analytics, and make changes as needed


Relevant Experience and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of sales experience with a technical product, or equivalent

  • Demonstrated leadership ability. You have the ability to lift up others around you, and often find yourself sharing your knowledge.

  • A strategic planning mindset.

  • Knowledge of inbound and outbound sales methodology.

  • Exceptional writing and communication skills. Technical writing ability is a plus.

  • Experience with HubSpot CRM or an equivalent CRM software.

  • Familiarity with Google Suite including Google Slides is preferred.

  • Interest in working with a small but growing team.

  • You are excited about 3D Fab Light, and can share that enthusiasm with our customers.
